Water  Extinguisher 

Rated for Class A Fires, Air pressurised water extinguisher, easy to use and cheap to maintain.

Air-pressurised water extinguishers are suitable for Class A fires involving paper, wood, straw, textiles etc. 

The 9 Litre water extinguisher is easy to use and less costly to maintain and service. Generally recommended for offices, convenience stores, retail shops etc. Stainless steel cylinder, red powder coated finish, comes complete with wall bracket.

Filling Instructions For 9L Water Extinguishers

To fill the extinguishers please follow the steps as listed below:
  1. Unscrew the extinguisher head.

  2. Add 9 litres of water - Note There is a mark on the pick-up tube to indicate the water level.

  3. Re-seal the head assembly by screwing down.

  4. Apply air pressure to the tyre type valve in the head until the pressure gauge needle goes into the green.

FAQ's

Do your fire extinguishers meet NZ standards?

Yes, all our fire extinguishers meet New Zealand and Australian standards, apart from the small 03.kg fire extinguisher, which is not required to meet standards.

Do you install, service or offer compliance for fire extinguishers?

No, we only import extinguishers into the market; we cannot offer advice on where to position fire extinguishers or what size/type of extinguisher to have. We do, however, offer extensive informational material on the website. You will need to contact a compliance company that can provide this advice.

I ordered a 9L Water extinguisher, but it arrived empty.

To save on shipping costs, we send our 9L water extinguishers empty. When they arrive, fill the cylinder with regular tap water using the instructions included, which are also on the website.

What type of extinguishers do I need to buy?

We have a helpful chart that explains the different types of extinguishers and what kinds of fires they should be used for. You can find it here . 

However, we strongly recommend you get advice from your local compliance company. Having the incorrect type/size of extinguisher may affect your insurance coverage.

Do fire extinguishers expire?

Yes, Fire extinguishers expire 5 years after their manufacture date, which is stamped into the cylinder.
